2025 Ford Mustang Trims

There are six main trims in the lineup to keep in mind: EcoBoost, EcoBoost Premium, GT, GT Premium, Dark Horse, and Dark Horse Premium. In addition, the EcoBoost and GT trims are available in two body configurations: the coupe, known as the Fastback, and the convertible. Let’s take a closer look at each trim level.

Ford Mustang EcoBoost

The EcoBoost has a starting MSRP of $31,920 if you opt for the coupe or $40,120 for the convertible. It’s equipped with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine capable of putting out 315 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. The powertrain is completed by a 10-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive.

Inside the cabin, you’ll find cloth upholstery and manually adjustable front seats. The infotainment system includes a 13.2-inch display, a 12.4-inch digital gauge cluster, and a six-speaker stereo. Connectivity options include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and USB ports.

Ford ensures that the Mustang base trim has a long list of safety features. Forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection aim to help you avoid accidents. For highway drivers, lane departure warning and lane-keep assist seek to keep you on the right track. Automatic high-beam headlights and rain-sensing windshield wipers make sure you have good visibility regardless of the weather conditions outside. The MyKey feature allows you to control settings, such as speed limits, and the FordPass app lets you lock your vehicle and start the engine remotely.

Ford Mustang EcoBoost Premium

The EcoBoost Premium trim brings some additional luxury to the cabin. You gain power-adjustable, heated, and ventilated front seats, and synthetic leather upholstery throughout the cabin. A more powerful nine-speaker stereo is included, as well as wireless device charging so you can more easily keep your phone charged on your next journey. Ambient LED interior lighting helps you maintain a comfortable mood in the cabin. The starting MSRP for the EcoBoost Premium is $37,545 for the coupe version and $43,045 for the convertible.

Ford Mustang GT

2025 Ford Mustang® GT Fastback

The biggest difference you’ll notice if you move up to the GT trim is that you have access to a larger engine. The 5.0L V-8 is capable of churning out a potent 480 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque, making it an ideal candidate for those of you who enjoy high-performance driving. The standard setup includes a six-speed manual transmission, so you get more control over gear changes, but you can opt to stick with the 10-speed automatic at no extra cost. This trim is only available as a coupe, and it has a starting price of $46,560.

Additional features include power-adjustable front seats and unique GT styling throughout the cabin. You can add a wide range of performance features, such as Brembo brakes, a tuned-up suspension, and a limited-slip rear differential.

Ford Mustang GT Premium

2025 Ford Mustang® GT Premium Fastback

The GT Premium offers you the choice between a coupe and a convertible body style again. The coupe has an MSRP of $51,080, whereas the convertible will cost you $56,580. This trim is powered by the same V-8 engine featured in the standard GT trim. Most of the features you’ll find in the cabin are the same as the EcoBoost Premium trim. One major exception is that you get genuine leather instead of synthetic leather upholstery. All of the various GT performance upgrades we discussed above are available with this trim, too.

Ford Mustang Dark Horse and Ford Mustang Dark Horse Premium

2025 Ford Mustang® Dark Horse™

The main thing setting the Dark Horse apart is the upgraded V-8 engine that powers it. Thanks to Ford’s expert engineering, output is boosted to 500 horsepower. The engine is still paired with the six-speed manual transmission. Both of these trims are available only as coupes. The standard Dark Horse trim starts at $64,380, and the Dark Horse Premium starts at $69,375.

The Dark Horse gains performance features such as an adaptive suspension and Brembo brakes as standard. The Dark Horse loses the ventilated front seats offered in the GT Premium, but they’re included in the Dark Horse Premium trim. Other features available only at the Dark Horse level include adaptive cruise control and a 12-speaker premium audio system.

Design Innovations

There are various Ford Mustang specification innovations that set each trim apart. For example, Dark Horse trims benefit from more aggressive exterior features and trim-specific symbols to make this sports car look the part when it hits the local track. Also, optional interior and exterior colors let you customize the Mustang to your preferred tastes.
